Important Information Before You Apply
1. Valid Email Address
You must have a working email address to receive application updates from UWC.

3. Application Fee
- Good news: There is no application fee to apply at UWC.
4. Prepare Compulsory Supporting Documents
All documents must be certified copies and submitted as PDF attachments.
Post-Matric Learners
- NSC or Senior Certificate
- Identity Document
- Proof of previous or current studies (if applicable)
- Proof of improving NSC results (if applicable)
- Affidavit describing post-matric activities (if applicable)
- If Grade 12 was written more than once, combined results must be submitted
Transfer Students
- NSC or Senior Certificate
- Identity Document
- Certificate of Good Conduct from previous institution
- Official Academic Transcript
- Module content / Yearbook descriptor for completed modules
- Degree certificate (if applicable)
Readmission to UWC
- Letter of motivation explaining why you want to return to UWC
International Students
- Submit final school results to Universities South Africa (USAf) for evaluation: Apply for Exemption
- Confirmation letter from USAf stating eligibility to study in South Africa
- Certified copy of your passport
Postgraduate Applicants
- Certified copy of ID or Passport
- Official Academic Transcripts/Records
- Certified copies of degree certificates
- SAQA Evaluation Certificate (for international students)
- Short CV
- One-page letter of motivation
- Short research intention (for Master’s and Doctoral applicants)
