  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Nursing Extended Programme

Early Applications

Closing Date: 3 August 2026

Applies to all undergraduate programmes except MBChB, Nursing, BPharm, and BRad.

Late Applications

Closing Date: 30 September 2026

Applies to eligible programmes excluding MBChB, Nursing, BPharm, and BRad.

3. NMU Application Fee for 2027

South African Applicants

  • No application fee. Applications are free for South African citizens.

International Applicants

  • Application Fee: R500
  • The application fee is non-refundable.

4. Required Documents for NMU Applications

All supporting documents must be uploaded as separate PDF files.

Undergraduate Applicants

Upload the following:

  • Certified copy of your final Grade 11 results, or
  • Certified copy of your latest Grade 12 June or September examination results (March results are not accepted), or
  • Certified copy of your Matric (National Senior Certificate) or Statement of Results if you have already completed Grade 12
  • Certified copies of diploma or degree certificates, academic records, and certificates of conduct (if you have studied at another institution)
  • Certified copy of your South African ID (or birth certificate if you are still waiting for your ID)
  • Certified copy of the ID of your parent, legal guardian, or surety
  • Parent/Guardian Declaration Form (Undergraduate) (required if you are financially dependent, currently at school, studying at another institution, or not permanently employed)

Postgraduate Applicants

Upload the following:

  • Certified copy of your matric/school leaving certificate
  • Certified copies of diploma or degree certificates
  • Certified academic records and certificates of conduct
  • Certified copy of your South African ID
  • Certified copy of the ID of your parent, legal guardian, or surety
  • Parent/Guardian Declaration Form (Postgraduate) (if applicable)
  • Postgraduate (U24) application form
  • Draft research proposal (where required)
