UWC does not charge an application fee. Applying online is completely free for all applicants.
4. Required Documents for UWC Applications
All supporting documents should be uploaded as separate PDF, PNG, or JPEG files.
Current Grade 12 Learners (Matriculants)
Upload:
- Signed parental or guardian consent form if you are under 18 years old.
- If your parents are unavailable, the form may be signed by a legal guardian or responsible adult.
- The consent form must be uploaded by 30 September 2026 through the UWC Document Upload Portal.
Post-Matric Applicants
Upload:
- Certified copy of your National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Senior Certificate
- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Affidavit explaining your activities after completing matric
- Proof of upgraded NSC results (if applicable)
Important:ANational Senior Certificate (NSC)is required. AStatement of Results cannot be used as your final qualification for admission.
Transfer Students
Upload:
- Certified copy of your NSC or Senior Certificate
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certificate of good conduct
- Official academic transcript

Readmission Applicants
Applicants seeking readmission to UWC must submit aletter of motivation explaining why they should be considered for readmission.
